Two Day Trip, Angkor Temple, Phnom Kulen, Car Taxi Driver In Siem Reap
Day 1: Angkor Wat temple / Small tour circle:
Early morning start from the hotel at 4.30 am get the pass for visit temples, Sunrise at Angkor Wat temple and then breakfast. from Angkor Wat, we travel along the roads and through the south gate of Angkor Thom the last capital city of the Khmer empire and also the largest capital city in the world with approximately 1 million inhabitants at the time. Then we continue on to visit Bayon temple famous for its many towers all engraved with the smiling face of Buddha smiling down upon all., While here we visit,the terrace of the Elephants and the terrace of the Leper king and then continue to visit the jungle temple Ta Prohm, made famous in the “tomb Raider” the temple is almost engulfed by towering trees growing, quite literally from within their walls.
Day 2: Phnom Kulen (Kulen Mountain, national park)
Depart in the morning heading north towards Kulen Mountain through approximately a 1.30-hour drive in an air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy the scenic ride along the way as you pass through local villages and verdant tropical forest. You will visit Cambodia’s biggest Reclining Buddha carved on sandstone. The temple is located on top of the hill and can be reached through a flight of steps. Next you will set off to the sacred river of 1000 Lingas. The riverbed is interestingly carved with numerous lingas, a phallic symbol of the Hindu god, Shiva. You will also see some rock carvings along the river depicting Hindu deities. You will continue through another sacred site, the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls. Calm your senses by watching the waterfall tumbling down the rocks. You will have time to wade in its basin and opt to cool-off from the midday sun by swimming on its pool. Discover and learn more about the historical and cultural significance of Phnom Kulen as your expert guide walks you through each of these landmarks. Stop for lunch (at your own account) at a local restaurant along the way before heading back or maybe we travel to Tonle Sap if we have time, South East Asia’s largest fresh water lake. The lake’s size and volume vary significantly through the year, depending on whether it is the wet or dry season. We will take a boat along the lake and see many of the floating villages and people who call the lake home.
